This thesis project came alive to create awareness of the current issue of smart phone addiction. I targeted students at my University with a campaign to inform them of the negative impact this can have on daily life. NOTIFIED's mission is to help all generations to put the phone down and get their life back. A small booklet designed to imitate a hand held device speaks volumes on the issue and gets the viewer to realize the problem. A small booklet designed to imitate a hand held device speaks volumes on the issue and gets the viewer to realize the problem. These were placed at the Millennial Center (Cafeteria) at the University of Missouri Saint Louis to target students during their free time. Once they interact with this unique phone book they will be left more knowledgeable about the topic, and be provided with ways they can break free of their addiction.
A social media presence was designed with advertisements to stop abusers who are caught in the act of their addiction. From here they can find more information and facts on the subject with a digital version of the smartphone book.
Posters were created and placed all around campus to spread awareness and offer another way to become informed about this issue. Each being placed with different facts and statements, the poster has a web address at the bottom for the reader to find more information on the topic.
I am currently working on hosting a workshop event to inform creatives about the rising issue of smartphone addiction, and offering a creative escape from their mobile devices.
